Are there things I can do to my landscape to use less water?
You can do any of the following things to use less water:
1. Choose plants that are native to your area and do well off local rainfall. Your sprinkler system can then supplement when needed.
2. Mulch your beds. This will help the soil retain water longer.
3. Don’t over fertilize
4. Have your lawn aerated every couple of years.
